Scroll down to stir your wanderlust. And if you have any questions about our adventure experiences in Jaco, please feel free to get in touch.
Arenal Volcano: Marvel at Mother Nature’s Power
Our first stop on this epic expedition takes us to the mighty Arenal Volcano. Located around 90 km from San José in northwestern Costa Rica, this active stratovolcano is around 1,633 meters high.
As you stand at its base, you can feel the earth’s heartbeat as Arenal occasionally grumbles and releases a plume of steam into the sky.
This spectacular sight is a testament to the raw power of nature. And if you’re up for a challenge, a hike to its peak promises panoramic views that will leave you breathless – and not just from the elevation.
In addition, the famous La Fortuna waterfall is nearby too. Framed by lush rainforest, the water here cascades 70 meters into a natural pool.
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve: Enjoy a Sky-High Adventure
Next up, we venture into the mystical realm of Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, a protected natural sanctuary covering 10,500 hectares.
A shroud of mist envelops the treetops as you explore suspended bridges, connecting you to a world teeming with life.
The air is thick with the songs of exotic birds and the rustling of secretive creatures. It’s like stepping into a storybook where every page reveals a new enchantment.
The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve takes its name from the nearby town of Monteverde and is located along the Cordillera de Tilarán.

Corcovado National Park: Discover the True Meaning of Biodiversity
Prepare to be humbled by the magnificence of Corcovado National Park, a truly stunning showcase of nature’s spectrum.
This biodiverse wonderland on the Osa Peninsula in southwest Costa Rica is a treasure trove of rare and endangered species.
Monkeys swing through the trees, scarlet macaws paint the sky with vibrant strokes, and jaguars prowl the undergrowth.
As you venture deeper into the heart of Corcovado, you’ll feel like an intrepid explorer on the cusp of a groundbreaking discovery.
Follow inland coastal trails through various ecosystems, from mangrove swamps to Pacific beaches and montane rainforests, and experience one of the world’s most biodiverse regions.

Carara National Park: Witness Crocodiles in the Tárcoles River
For those seeking an encounter with our country’s most iconic reptilian residents, Carara National Park is our next famous landmark in Costa Rica.
The Tárcoles River winds through this sanctuary, and a Jaco crocodile boat tour promises a close-up look at one of nature’s most prehistoric creatures.
Watching these behemoths glide through the water is an experience that will send shivers down your spine – in the best possible way, of course!
But there’s far more to Carara National Park than crocodiles!
Keep your eyes peeled for an avian extravaganza – from the striking scarlet macaw to the stealthy great blue heron.
A trip to this national park is a perfect blend of excitement and serenity, offering a chance to observe Costa Rica’s wildlife in its natural habitat.
Jaco Beach: Find Out Why Surfers Love the Place We Call Home
We might be biased here, but Jaco Beach is one of Costa Rica’s best beaches! Our country is blessed with countless incredible beaches, so we’ve gone with the one we know best.
This is a wonderful place to sink your toes into the soft sand, bask in the sun’s warm embrace, and let the salty breeze whisk away your worries.
Jaco Beach spans 2.5 miles of palm tree-lined coastline. The south side of the beach is ideal for swimming, while the north end is best saved for surfers.
And the waves here are ideal for surfing, making it a great spot to perfect your skills or take that first lesson.
And with plenty of beachside bars and eateries, you can enjoy delicious local food with a drink or two while enjoying the stunning view.
If you’re in the Jaco area and looking for adventure, check out our reviews and book your experiences in complete confidence.
And Take Your Pick of Spectacular Waterfalls in Costa Rica!
