Mike is an expat from the USA. After coming to Costa Rica for the first time in 2002, he knew his future would be here someday. He moved down to CR with his family in 2010 and is here to stay.
He absolutely loves his job, and it shows! Teaching people to rappel down waterfalls and showing others how to cliff jump on the extreme tour is a dream job. His nickname, “the whisperer”, is not because he is quiet (HE’S NOT!), it’s because he can seem to talk people into rappelling or jumping off of ledges they never thought possible.
If someone is really scared or has doubts about their abilities, he is great at empowering them to find what they need inside themselves to complete the task on their own. He says he feels a little guilty taking the money on payday (but he always takes it)!
