Come with us to experience an ancient ritual repeated year after year by Pilot and Humpback whales as they make their journey to complete their mating process that enables their species to continue to thrive in the Pacific waters off the coast of Costa Rica. This boat ride takes you through Ballena Marine National Park, near the city of Uvita. Not only are there amples sightings of whales, dolphins, and other marine life; but we also take you to places only accessible by boat to see natural wonders like Whale Rock, the Caverns of “Window Beach”, and an amazing rock system rising out of the sea. All along, you are safely motored by a certified captain and accompanied by an English speaking guide.

Tour Itinerary
Dolphin & Whale Watching

We start our trip by motoring near the channel that the whales use for migration, spotting Pilot and Humpback whales. Often times Bottlenose Dolphins will follow us, eager to play and engage!
Natural Wonders & Snorkeling

After getting your fill of dolphins and whales we move along the coast of the Ballena National to view the natural wonders including the spectacular Playa Ventanas or “Window Beach”, named for the thousands of “windows” going through the rock from the ocean to the shore. We also stop to snorkel above some coral reefs if the conditions permit.
